Where will my session take place?
Your session will take place in a warm, comfortable, quiet room. Soft music may be played to help you relax. You will sit in a reclining chair or lie on a table especially designed for your comfort.

Must I be completely undressed?
No—During Reflexology, you only remove socks and shoes. During Jin Shin, you do not remove any clothing.

What parts of my body will be touched?
Reflexology Session – Only your feet, hands, or ears will be touched. It depends on which session you choose.

Jin Shin Session – There are 26 possible points of contact. You will be notified which ones will be used before the session begins.

What will the session feel like?
Reflexology is personally designed for the client. The techniques are uniquely sustaining and nourishing to the body. It can dissipate the stress by interrupting it, allowing the body to heal itself.

Jin Shin is based on the client’s energy pulse and one of 26 flows. It is very relaxing.

What should I do during the session?
Prior to the session, feel free to ask the practitioner any questions about the technique or the upcoming session. During the session, make yourself comfortable. Many people just close their eyes and completely relax, communicating if/when they need more or less pressure, another blanket, or anything else relevant to the session. If you have any questions regarding the session or about the particular technique you are receiving, feel free to ask.

How will I feel after the session?
Most people feel very relaxed. Some experience release from long-term aches and pains developed from tension. After an initial period of feeling slowed down, people often experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and greater productivity which can last for days.

What should I do after the session?
It is very important to drink water. If you regularly drink water throughout your day, it is important to add another 8-10 ounces. If you do not drink water it is important to drink at least two glasses of water following your session; and more throughout the remainder of the day.

What are the benefits of bodywork?
Bodywork can help release chronic muscular tension and pain, improve circulation, reduce mental and physical fatigue and stress, promote faster healing, improve posture, and reduce blood pressure. Bodywork also is known to promote better sleep, improve concentration, reduce anxiety and create an overall sense of well-being.

Are there any medical conditions that would make bodywork inadvisable?
Yes. That's why it's imperative that, before you begin your session, the practitioner asks general health questions. It is very important that you inform the practitioner of any health problems or medications you are taking. If you are under a doctor's care, it is strongly advised that you receive a written recommendation for bodywork prior to any session. Depending on the condition, approval from your doctor may be required.
